€10 Million Horizon Europe Call Opens for Climate and Soil Innovation Projects

A new Horizon Europe funding call has been launched under the EU Missions framework, making €10 million available for new projects focused on climate adaptation and soil health. The call was opened following the adoption of the Horizon Europe 2026–2027 Work Programme and aims to support innovative solutions that can be deployed in real conditions.

The funding opportunity targets Innovation Actions contributing to the objectives of the EU Mission on Soil Health and Food and the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, with a focus on turning research results into practical tools, technologies, and approaches that strengthen resilience and sustainability.

Projects supported under this call are expected to address challenges such as improving soil resilience, adapting to extreme weather events, enhancing food security, and accelerating the market uptake of innovative solutions. The initiative also aims to encourage collaboration between research organisations, companies, public authorities, and other stakeholders to deliver measurable impact.

The total indicative budget for the call is around €10 million, with proposals to be submitted by 23 September 2026 through the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.
