Circular Voices Workshop: Sharing Stories, Building a Living Circular Ecosystem

As part of the Circular Voices: From the Balkans to Andalusia – Climate-Smart Farming Narratives project, we successfully conducted our Bulgarian co-creation workshop, dedicated to exploring circular agricultural practices, real-life challenges, and emerging opportunities across the sector.

We would like to thank all participants who joined us and contributed with openness, expertise, and passion. Bringing together more than 30 inspiring farmers, practitioners, innovators, and experts, the workshop became a vibrant space for dialogue, reflection, and shared learning.

Throughout the day, participants shared honest stories of both success and struggle—highlighting practices that already work on the ground, as well as the barriers that still limit wider adoption of circular approaches in Bulgaria. These insights are essential to the mission of Circular Voices: to promote successful circular practices while actively listening to and understanding the challenges faced by those implementing them.

The discussions generated rich and thought-provoking insights, touching on economic viability, resource efficiency, knowledge gaps, and the importance of collaboration. These findings will be further analysed and shared with the wider community in the next phases of the project, helping ensure that local experiences inform broader learning and policy conversations.
Once again, the workshop confirmed something we strongly believe in: creating open platforms for sharing and exchange is crucial for building a living ecosystem—one where farmers, innovators, and organisations support each other and grow together.

Looking ahead, the most inspiring stories and practices emerging from the Bulgarian workshop will become part of the Circular Voices Storytelling Toolkit, which will be developed within the project to support knowledge transfer and wider adoption of circular farming solutions.

A special thank you goes to U Grow academy for the outstanding facilitation, which made the event not only engaging, but also highly productive and meaningful for all involved.

We are looking for the best circular practices. Apply here.
📢 Stay tuned as we continue to transform these voices and experiences into stories that travel beyond borders.
The project Circular Voices: From the Balkans to Andalusia initiative by Circular Food Systems Network (under the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases (GRA), brings together farmers, innovators, advisors, and researchers to uncover the real stories behind circularity in agriculture.
