Community Workshop: Navigating EU Regulatory Requirements for Innovative Food Products

StartLife is hosting a practical, hybrid workshop on 18 February 2026 tailored to innovators and startups working on new food products who are looking to understand and navigate the complex EU regulatory landscape.
The session, Navigating EU Regulatory Requirements for Innovative Food Products, will take place at Wageningen Campus (Bronland 10-D, the Netherlands) from 15:30–17:00 CET and will also be available via a hybrid format. It is designed to help founders, product developers and regulatory teams gain clarity on the regulatory steps needed to bring innovative food products to the European market.
During the workshop, participants can expect:
Insights on EU regulatory frameworks relevant to novel and innovative food products
Practical guidance to anticipate and address compliance requirements early in product development
Expert perspectives that help reduce uncertainty and streamline regulatory planning
Understanding EU rules is becoming increasingly important as the regulatory environment for novel foods, functional ingredients, and new food technologies evolves — especially with recent updates to guidance from bodies like the European
Food Safety Authority (EFSA) aimed at improving clarity and market-access pathways.
This workshop forms part of StartLife’s ongoing efforts to support its community with actionable knowledge, expert guidance and opportunities for connection in the agrifood innovation ecosystem.
