EUROGIA2030 Call 31 Opens: New Funding Opportunity for Clean Technology Innovators

Innovation-driven companies working on sustainable technologies have a new opportunity to secure international R&D support. The EUROGIA2030 Call 31, launched under the Eureka Clusters framework, is now open for applications, inviting organizations from participating countries to develop collaborative projects focused on low-carbon technologies and sustainable growth

According to the call, key challenge areas include:

  • Carbon-free energy supply

  • Green mobility and smart cities

  • Smarter housing and construction

  • Bio-resources and environmental solutions

The programme recognizes that these sectors are experiencing rapid technological development and growing market demand, creating significant opportunities for innovative companies and research organizations.

Supporting International Collaboration

One of the defining features of EUROGIA2030 is its emphasis on cross-border cooperation. To be eligible, projects must be developed through an international consortium involving at least two independent legal entities from a minimum of two Eureka countries. Additionally, no single organization or country may account for more than 70% of the total project budget.

The programme seeks projects that are:

  • Focused on innovative products, processes, or services

  • Directed toward research and development activities

  • Intended for future commercialization

  • Designed for civilian applications

By encouraging multinational cooperation, EUROGIA2030 aims to accelerate knowledge sharing and strengthen innovation ecosystems across participating countries.

The call may be particularly relevant for:

  • Cleantech startups

  • SMEs developing sustainable technologies

  • Industrial companies pursuing low-carbon innovation

  • Research and technology organizations

  • Universities collaborating with industry partners

The current call opened on 1 July 2026 and applications must be submitted by 29 October 2026 at 17:00 CET
