Europe’s agrifood and climate agenda is packed with events during the final months of 2025. They span topics from sustainable urban food systems and digital trust in food data to alternative proteins, agrivoltaics and bioeconomy strategies. 1. Sustainable Food Systems: urban and global perspectives – Milan (17 Oct 2025)

Hosted by the University of Milan and the 4EU+ Alliance’s 1CORE project, this dissemination event examines how European universities and cities can shape sustainable urban food systems. 2. DRG4FOOD & FOODITY Final Conference – Brussels (22‑23 Oct 2025)

The EU‑funded DRG4FOOD and FOODITY projects culminate in a joint conference titled “A Recipe for Trust in Europe’s Food Future.”  Held at La Tricoterie in Brussels on 22–23 October 2025, the event explores how digital trust and data governance can empower citizens and reshape food systems. 3. Future of Protein Production Summit – Amsterdam (29‑30 Oct 2025)

At the RAI Amsterdam on 29–30 October 2025, the Future of Protein Production Summit positions itself as Europe’s meeting place for scaling alternative proteins. 5. European Congress on Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability – Vienna (6‑7 Nov 2025)

Taking place at the NH Vienna Airport Conference Center on 6–7 November 2025, this congress explores the theme “The Future of Sustainability: Climate Resilience Through Research and Innovation.”  The programme welcomes climate scientists, environmental experts, policymakers and industry leaders to address urgent challenges such as carbon‑reduction strategies, sustainable agriculture, climate‑resilient infrastructure, environmental justice and technology’s role in sustainabilityclimatechange.c2pforum.com. The ClieNFarms project, which develops strategies for climate‑neutral farming, will conclude with a hybrid final conference on 20 November 2025 at the NH Brussels EU Berlaymont. Running from 08:30 to 18:00 CET, the event will showcase the project’s main results and facilitate dialogue on sustainable farming practiceseu-cap-network.ec.europa.eu. 7. Food System Microbiomes 2025 International Conference – Wageningen (25‑28 Nov 2025)

Microbiomes are increasingly recognised as key to healthy and sustainable food systems. The Food System Microbiomes 2025 International Conference will be held 25–28 November 2025 in Wageningen, Netherlands—often called the “City of Life Sciences.” The conference builds on the inaugural 2024 event in Torino and will explore the interconnectedness of microbiomes across food systemsfoodsystemsmicrobiomes.org. Topics include using microbiomes to mitigate climate change, enhance circularity and nutrition, improve human health and address risks in food systemsfoodsystemsmicrobiomes.org. 8. Food2030 Networks & Bioeconomy conferences – Copenhagen (2–3 Dec 2025)

From 2 to 3 December 2025, Copenhagen becomes a hub for EU food‑system innovation. On 2 December, the FOOD2030 Networks Conference 2025 convenes researchers, innovators and policymakers at the University of Copenhagen to boost collaboration, strengthen partnerships and build public‑engagement skills across the FOOD2030 communityfood2030.eu. The three‑day programme includes an engagement day, guided tours to local changemakers and a matchmaking eventfood2030.eu.

Concurrently, Denmark’s EU presidency will host two bioeconomy conferences (2–3 December) at the University of Copenhagen.
