Navarra 360º Publishes First‑Year Results, Marking Major Advances in Regenerative Agriculture

The Navarra 360º project, led by EIT Food, has released its first‑year results, showcasing major progress in transforming agricultural practices across the Navarre region. The outcomes - presented during an “Open Day” at the Navarra Conference Centre and Auditorium (Baluarte) - highlight the project’s growing impact, its collaborative approach, and its strong scientific foundation.

A Year of Measurable Progress Toward Regenerative Agriculture
During its first year, Navarra 360º has taken significant steps toward establishing a scalable, regenerative agriculture model rooted in measurable impact:
More than 4,000 hectares are now under regenerative transition.
38 farmers are actively participating in the programme.
Over 60 customised transition plans have been designed and implemented.
These milestones demonstrate not just adoption but meaningful engagement across the region’s agricultural community.
EIT Food is promoting in Navarra a resilient agriculture that regenerates soils, strengthens farmers and enables the production of quality food in a sustainable and profitable way.

Science‑Driven Insights: Building a Robust Data Baseline
A cornerstone of the project is its strong scientific and technical methodology. In 2025 alone, the team conducted:
200+ sampling points, and
700+ detailed analyses,
including measurements of soil fertility, carbon stocks, and microbiology. These data points establish a rigorous baseline for tracking ecological evolution in the years to come.
Supporting Farmers Through Training and Incentives
To enable real‑world application of regenerative practices, Navarra 360º invested in both skills and financial support:
24 hours of specialised training were delivered.
More than €96,000 in premiums were allocated to reward and validate the adoption of regenerative practices.
This dual approach - capacity building paired with financial incentives - helps farmers adopt new practices without compromising economic stability.
A High‑Integrity Monitoring System Reinforcing Credibility
One of the project’s standout achievements is a comprehensive Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) system that ensures accuracy, comparability, and transparency of results. The system integrates:
Digital tools for seamless data collection and aggregation,
Emissions and carbon modelling tools such as Cool Farm Tool and DNDC, and
Real soil carbon measurements for physical validation.
This combined methodology strengthens the scientific reliability of the project’s environmental claims.

A Regional Collaboration Boosting Agrifood Resilience
At the Open Day, partners such as Danone Ecosystem, Intermalta, Alpro, and Cargill presented their joint efforts in developing a data‑driven, verifiable supply chain framework. This collaboration underscores how regional stakeholders - from farmers to multinational buyers - are aligning to build a more resilient agrifood system.
Part of a Larger European Vision
Navarra 360º forms part of the EIT Food Regen Ag Portfolio, a European initiative supporting regional “Landscape Projects” that accelerate the transition toward sustainable and resilient agrifood systems. The project’s first‑year results reinforce Navarra’s growing role as a leader in regenerative agriculture within the EU.

New opportunity for circular innovators: Circular Voices - turning circular agriculture into real opportunities
AgriVentures, together with Alberizas, brought Circular Voices: From the Balkans to Andalusia to IEAMED in Málaga. What emerged from this workshop is direct and unambiguous: European innovation has no value if it remains locked in reports. Its value is realized only when it reaches farmers and producers in a form they can apply, adapt and benefit from economically. This workshop was designed precisely with that objective. To translate circular economy principles into practical, field-tested...
